About
us
The
cast and crew at Laughs To Go are seasoned and professional actors, singers,
clowns and entertainers. We don’t put kids in dirty costumes and send
them out with a bad karaoke tape… Each of our performers is chosen for
their improv and comedy skills along with their other talents. We pride ourselves
on bringing you the best in singing telegrams and character visits in South
Florida. Our founder, Gail Choate, has over 24 years experience as a corporate
executive and entrepreneur. In addition, she is a sought after performer.
She has appeared in theatrical productions and is best known for her popular
clown character, Tootsie. Tootsie is a member of the elite international clown
troupe sponsored by Patch Adams, MD and his Gesundheit Institute. She was
one of 35 international clowns selected to tour Moscow and St. Petersburg
Russia in November 2000 visiting children's' hospitals, orphanages and nursing
homes. She is the 'clown in residence' at Holy Cross Hospital where she regularly
visits their littlest patients as well as those in orthopedics and intensive
rehab. In 2000, she was awarded a "Red Nose of Courage" by World
Peace Clowns for her commitment to healing humor and in 2002 was named "Outstanding
Woman in Medicine" by the Florida Medical Business Journal.
A firm believer in community service, Gail was a founding board member of
the Breast Cancer Family Foundation (WI) and currently serves as founder and
President of Kid Focus, Inc.. She is on the founding board of the Davie Unit
of Boys and Girls Clubs; is a member of the National Wellness Association,
Broward Women’s Alliance and World Clown Association. She has been recognized
